History of the famous Austin Seven revealed

A recent visit was paid to The Herriot Centre by Mrs Martha Stewart and Ms Anne Jenkins,  from the department of Archaeology at Durham University, following a talk that was given by Martha Stewart, and their interest and findings onThe World of James Herriot.

In her research Martha was delighted to find in the archives a letter which traces the ownership and history of AJ0 71, the famous blue Austin seven, which was seen on the credits of the BBC1 television series ‘All Creatures Great and Small’, which now sits proudly in the Herriot Centre, where Martha and Anne enjoyed the privilege of being able to have a front row seat!
